Woman’s Way of Holy

Turn from the ordinary,
says one of the Teachers,
seek the sacred
away from the mundane.
Hearing this advice,
I understand the Teacher meant
we must wake from sleepy mind.
But words are spells
that make things happen.
And words that see
the sacred and mundane
as polarities –
have given long permission
for dangerous human hubris.
Woman’s way of Holy
turns toward Earthy mud,
and looks with eyes that see its marvel,
with eyes that see
the Sacred Source we rise from.
