Where the Good Is
Where the Good Is
Not in the small me
today smash-crammed with irritation.
Not in the self
who cannot see beyond the fault
to the need.
A deliberate act, it takes,
to imagine past my static trance
And I cannot risk this act
alone. I am too small.
I listen hard to the Gone-Befores
whose paths made a way for me.
You’re part of a larger belonging, they say.
I listen hard and hear a descendent
whisper back through future centuries:
Thank you, dear dancing drop of time,
for giving me my life. Their voices
stretch me past my smallness,
guide me to my breadth, where the good is.
Today I practice going there.
Come with me so it’s larger.
Imagine, imagine an earth
that’s safe for women. Which means
a planet that works for every being.
Offer it as vision-prayer
to the wider stream, the greater Self,
the Quantum Mother Multiverse.
Where the good is.
