What to Do, What to Say

Norway Flamsbana trainstop
I got out of my way
and suddenly
it was all easy;
the decisions,
the paths, the next step
cleared of murky confusion.
My resistance finally
crumbled, my insistence
on being right.
And it all rushed down
like mountain water
finding its way home.
The block I’d made
by taking offense
for so long,
lifted away in a day
when I got out of my way.
I knew what to do, what to say.

Such a universal thought, Susa. I love the way you said it.
I love it when I get out of my own way!
