What is Strength

Maria Concepcion Venja Sarabia, aka Conchita
What is strength when one is old?
Muscles ache each morning when you wake
Your heart, it hurts for those who have no bed.
Soft of heart and stout of spirit,
what is strength when one is old?
You stretch your dream to harmony with nature.
What is strength when one is old?
The muscle of endurance grows with age.
Expanding dreams engender courage.
You likely have the strength of age
with its quiet pliability,
if your softness is robust.
What is strength when one is old?
The mist of fog tries your patience,
but you persist with steps ahead.
When tough and supple both
abide in you as one,
you are bold and old and strong.
