Voluptuous Wonder

The honeybee queen
pipes her G-sharp pitch
and secretes her pheromone
that communicates the lyrics:
All is well, we are together, you belong.
And eighty thousand golden beings
fan the message through the hive.

Murmuration of birds,
shoals of fish,
dolphin pods and wolf packs,
elephant herds and crow collaborations
teach what humans now must learn
in order to survive;
communal love in action.

How we need the message
that intelligence
must be collective.
Working as one for our common good
is not beyond our human reach.
Let the birds and bees now stand
for cooperation’s voluptuous wonder.
