To Love our Way through Change

I am in a human hive
singing with my people
entrained with all the family.
Our collective heart
tells us how to live.
Remembering to listen
is the trick to learn.
Within a Greater Consciousness
we nest our local one,
not only mind but wholeness.
Resting in collective,
we keep small selves intact, and
experience the jeweled oneness
that has always been there.
In Minneapolis neighbors pour
out of their doors when they hear a whistle
at 7 am in frigid cold, some in bathrobes still.
Forty neighbors record a federal occupation
making noise to protect a neighbor
whom before they hadn’t noticed.
Awareness of the hive is growing every day.
Our breathing song is teaching us
that boundaries are false.
While singing we must learn to listen.
Connection shimmers in the air.
Living in a human hive,
our hive heart tells us how to love,
how to love our way through change.
