Starfield

I have fallen
into a field of stars
landing soft as water.
I am an Earthling
lifted away
with stargate fairies.
Some space-breeze
caresses my cheek.
Thoughts float outside me.
I watch them
without care or rancor.
Starlight, baby-tender,
disengages me,
invites me to lie down.
The starfield feels like
a wildflower meadow in twilight.
Starflowers gather
to make me a pillow.
If no one else
is here, how
does it seem
like love? I ask.
And hear a humming answer:
Because everyone else
is here.
