Song of Listening

Let me do nothing today
except listen.
At death I’ll stretch
out my arms and vault into the air,
shrugging off the burden of my weight.
Today is the only day I have
to listen.
Today, today,
even with the weight I must bear,
let me do nothing but listen.
So that before I fly from beautiful earth,
the song of life,
that is love,
can rush to fill my ears completely.

I love this poem and the photos. So good to know this is where you spend your days, Sus…
Thanks for the reminder of what I want to do today. Memento mori
