I Won’t Stop Humming

photography by Susa SilvermarieI walk among the great crystals.
My thirty trillion cells
descend to magma mind.
My body glints and sparks
Stone of Gaia takes me.
How small seem thoughts.

The quiet shine
feels like arms of comfort.
How I want to stay.
But a hum comes into me.
The humming deepens,
tells me l must surface.

The living stone
of my own bones
steers me outward
to carry the accord,
the goodwill of Gaia,
her unplumbed love.
