Human Luminous

Singular living is over.
The fabric of we
unrolls its truth.
Everyone in the world
responsible for everyone;
or else. Extinction.
Singular living is over.
This commencement
brings a call to plunge below
the false divisions.

The earth demands that our species
bend humbly
into the Red Tent. We move into
our own consciousness.
We find the tent is vast,
immense as god.
Our vision of humanity transforms overnight
from countless ho-hum others
to a single kinship clan.
With dropped jaws we watch
while our worldview turns on a dime.

Singular living is over.
The human world that’s dying
contains within it, seeds
of a world that’s new.
For me, for you, it’s time,
to ready for resetting,
for unfolding, for emerging.
Up we must grow, quick as a crocus!
Up we must grow to wisdom,
quick, quick as a crocus.

As the tree is the forest,
each of us
is a living cell of sentient Earth.
Now we sense,
underneath apparent isolation,
our mycorrhizal network.
Singular living? It’s over!
We are at the end
of the old world. And at the start
of new human ways:
outbreaks of peace, of invention,
a planet healing from humans
a planet, healing with humans.

We who are alive today
leave behind the caterpillar consciousness
of singular living.
Long ago, a Mayan prophecy
called this future human,
Homo Luminous.
We crack the cocoon
and emerge into the world
to make a new and luminous story,
and support
each other’s metamorphosis.

One by one,
on behalf of the whole,
we try our yet-wet wings.
As butterfly selves
we lift our potent consciousness
to view the unity
our caterpillar selves simply couldn’t see.
Singular living? Over!
