Entrainment – a videopoem

What happens inside a singer
when entrained with other singers?
When I’m singing from my heart,
inside a human hive,
our collective heart intelligence
tells me what I need to know
but not in words, no, not in words.
The vibratory buzz

tells me what I need to hear
if I listen for it, if I listen to it,
if I follow the link of the singing.
And even when I have no prospect
of singing in lovely company,
humans live connected, and affected
by the frequencies in our hive.
So even in solitude,
entraining with harmony lifts me.

Keeping intact my smaller self,
I nest in the collective.
Our song of breathing teaches me
the boundaries are false.
I can go from social isolation
to looking around, seeing who’s there,
noticing what we need. Hiveheart
tells me how to love.

Barb and I recognized the “vibratory buzz” when we first sang together! Thanks for acknowledging it!
