Dream Unfurlings

Agave Cuello de Cisne, aka Agave Attenuata

Three times in the dream  I lie down in ceremony,
three times I rise to meet an interruption,
three times I return to the ritual.
I must wait to get it right,
allow the pauses to make me ready.
Four Legs I have in the dream, restless all.
With thanks I pour out and save
what the limbs contain.
Four legs, I  shapeshift to Rabbit,
and collect the energy to leap.

I feel myself and all of us,
paused, and making ready.
Our dreams are coming fast and full.
Rigorous spadework during sleep
calls for spiritual elbow grease.
No wonder we awaken tired.
Rest when you can, all is well.
We are growing new muscles
that stretch with our new DNA.
We’re together, and training for Change.
