Day’s Grace
The clouds! Never before these
that rest on the deep green mountaintops.
Today’s shade of skyblue
has never held, just this way,
these white and billowing clouds
that play copycat
with the the rounded mountains.
The air! After rain, the scent of healing,
and the clear music of bees.
This is the way bodies
experience life.
A river flowing,
a no-thought trusting
of the next direction.
An animal trust in goodness,
in what life is bringing.
Never before a day like this,
and I was never
alive for this before.
What sensual grace is this,
that lifts me into belonging.
