As Every Other Being
While we tie ourselves in knots,
the trees and stones just watch,
and know that they’ll be here
long after we are gone.
The land is old, has seen so much,
the oceans, here so long,
so many of our little lifetimes;
makes our problems small.
The elephants preceded us
by many many millennia
It’s okay to be the young ones
if we remember and respect.
While the trees and stones
are watching, we can take
our tiny, necessary place
as every other being does.

Love this picture of you:)
There is much wisdom in this poem. It is helpful sometime to hear the long view such as this. 🙂
