Rambutan Rave

photography by Susa SilvermarieRambutans are in season again. My first year here, I wrote a post called Fruits of Mexico that featured this unassuming and mysterious fruit. Rambutans seem as wondrous to me today, as I near four years residency, as they did in this post from my first year. If you are curious to see what rambutans look like on the inside of their hairy red coat, click on the link and the Fruits of Mexico photos will reveal all!

How blessed I am to be here in Mexico on the shore of sacred Lake Chapala. At this time of harvest, I send your way all the love and light and sweetness of earth’s fruits.
