Kissed into Belonging

Lying on the earth,
hot sun warms me,
cool breeze caresses me.
Every sensation
a kissing gift of being alive.

Green and bright, the growing corn,
Blue and white
the changing sky.
My back against a cedar now,
our spines are kissing, kissing.

I belong to the corn and the cedar,  the clouds and stars.
I have my part, I take my place.
As grateful earthling member,
I blow a giant kiss
to all the cosmic family.
