A Big-Hearted Culture

img_0756Ajijic First Evening

Arrived just after sunset last night, I ditched my bags and walked down to Lake Chapala, where the crescent moon and a bright Venus began to rise right in front of my amazed eyes.

This morning I took my first run along the lake and had the company of many egrets! fullsizeoutput_125And the kindness I have been shown by people here, like the hotel manager who volunteered to wheel my huge suitcases along the cobblestones to the rental I already found, is even more beautiful than the place. A culture of kindness, a home where I can learn from the culture how to grow big-hearted.

    So, so happy for you.

  • Way to go, Susa! So glad to hear from you right away!

  • Big-hearted and HAPPY. This morning I passed two men picking up trash on the malecon. There was loud mexican music playing and they were laughing and talking loudly with what I would have guessed was a homeless person, but he could only have been inebriated, at 8 a.m. Welcome, Susa. Good to see you yesterday.

  • Susa, what a wonderful entry! So happy for you..
