Are the Stars Out Tonight

Spinning safely in a vast womb of stars,
our Earth
holds me like a Lover.
I am a seed inside a seed, infinitesimal
and grand.

And when I cry because I cannot see
the stars,
they laugh their glory nevertheless
down on me in a torrent
of love.
