Silent Patient Peering
Astronomers called it empty
until the Hubble discovered,
in that patch of sky–
ten
thousand
galaxies.
What else in front of our eyes,
are we certainly missing?
What in your life
have you overlooked as empty?
There you might find,
by silent, patient peering—
staggering abundance.
