Public Bliss

I think it’s true,
my whole purpose this time around,
to let it all out, the joy.
They told me it was impolite,
such public bliss,
but I have grown toward this
purpose, the uncapping of happiness,
for more than seven decades.
At the last, that pulse of life
will burst through me entirely
and bear my body back all the way
to atoms of exuberance.
For now, I hereby
stick out my tongue
and undam the delight.
Ebullience is me.

  • This is so true of you! Redefining the third age for all of us. Somehow I doubt you ever gave much attention to what others told you, especially about how to be. Gracias for the invitation to ” undam the delight.”
